Mr. Kashyap has focused his career on building technology-driven online
businesses. Prior to founding Canopy Financial in 2004, Kashyap was a management
consultant to American Express (NYSE: AXP) and Ameriprise (NYSE: AMP) where he
worked on a series of strategic initiatives including corporate spin-outs,
product strategy, and service pricing. Prior to American Express, Kashyap served
as Vice President of Business Development for eMeta Corporation, a software
provider for managing and selling digital goods and services online that was
successfully sold to Macrovision (NASDAQ: MVSN). Prior to eMeta, Mr. Kashyap was
with
Battery Ventures, where he executed and supported investments for a $1 billion
technology venture capital fund. Mr. Kashyap also co-founded RedShores, an
electronic payments company and has pioneered new research and treatment methods
for chronic immunological conditions.
Mr. Kashyap is a graduate of Harvard University. Jeremy Blackburn, President and COOMr. Blackburn is a recognized thought leader in the field of healthcare
financial services through a deep background in the delivery of decision support
and advanced analytic technologies to the healthcare and retail financial
services industries. Mr. Blackburn holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. Anthony Banas, Chief Technology Officer
Prior to joining Canopy Financial in 2004, Mr. Banas served in
executive
positions for several leading technology companies, including Fair Isaac
Corporation (NYSE: FIC), the world's foremost provider of advanced analytic and
enterprise decision management technologies and ADP (NYSE: ADP), a global
innovator
in transaction processing and information services. Banas co-founded and led, as Chief
Technology Officer, the nation's largest institutional stock surveillance and
capital markets intelligence services firm, Ilios Partners. Prior to his
work with Ilios Partners, Banas served as the Chief Technology Officer for The
Customer Group, a niche, CRM-centric management consultancy.
Banas has contributed to several use patents for scoring technologies and has pioneered new search and selection algorithms for healthcare credit issuance and account management. Mr. Banas graduated from Loyola University, where he earned a BS in Computer Science. Luis Marcelo Doffo, Senior Vice President, Business DevelopmentMr. Doffo joined Canopy Financial in 2006 and leads the company’s sales and business development activities. Prior to joining Canopy Financial, Mr. Doffo served as the Vice President of Business Development at BenefitStreet, Inc. where he was responsible for architecting the business development strategy and managing investment operations. Mr. Hazdra is a recongized thought leader in the field of
enterprise-class, ASP-delivered technology security and network management.
Prior to joining Canopy in 2006 to lead the company's security and systems management practices, Mr. Hazdra advised Fortune 100 clients on matters of information technology security strategies, security practices and processes, and implementing effective security policies for corporate security compliance. Mr. Hazdra has held leadership senior engineering positions at Siemens (NYSE: SI), R.R. Donnelly (NYSE: RRD), Harris Bank and 3Com (NASDAQ: COMS). Hazdra has been certified by Cisco Systems, Siemens, 3Com, Avaya, Citrix, Microsoft and TIA and is a member of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Mr. Hazdra is a graduate of Arizona State University. John Ingram, Chief Administrative Officer
Mr. Ingram brings significant experience in varying operating capacities related
to mission critical systems within large financial institutions.
Mr. Ingram established Canopy Financial's Six Sigma process improvement and process optimization programs which has lead to measurable improvements in systems delivery and overall service quality. Additionally, Ingram leads the company's compliance and certification team which is responsible for establishing and maintaining compliance with critical standards including SAS 70, PCI, and client service levels. Prior to joining Canopy Financial in 2007, John worked for Fifth Third Bank in several capacities; most recently helped launch the bank’s Health Savings Account and healthcare banking products. John is a graduate of Mount St Joseph (Cincinnati). Todd Rearden, Vice President, Product Development
Mr. Rearden has over 15 years of experience architecting and building
enterprise-class enabling technologies for Fortune 1000 companies.
Prior to joining Canopy in 2006 to lead the company's software development organization, Mr. Rearden was the Consulting Manager for Magenic, a Chicago -based, nationally recognized Microsoft solutions consulting firm. Mr. Rearden has also held senior leadership and development positions at AON Corporation (NYSE: AOC) and WhittmanHart Consulting. Mr. Rearden holds a Masters degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Traci Roberts, Director of MarketingMs. Roberts is responsible for managing marketing and communications services to Canopy’s clients, and has extensive knowledge about the communication and education challenges facing employers and employees when transitioning to consumer-driven healthcare benefits. Prior to joining Canopy Financial in 2007, Ms. Roberts served as the Marketing Manager for Health Savings Accounts at Kaiser Permanente, where she developed and executed the HSA marketing plan throughout Kaiser and was involved in all communications and training aspects of the custodial partnership. Prior to Kaiser, Ms. Roberts served in various marketing and product management roles at Charles Schwab & Company (NASDAQ: SCHW), including Senior Product Manager, where she oversaw the creation of marketing collateral, regulatory communications, and marketing campaigns relating to cash management, online bill payment and other services . Ms. Roberts also worked in online marketing at Wells Fargo (NYSE: WFC). Ms. Roberts holds an MBA with an emphasis in Marketing from The University of Texas at Austin. Mark Wallace, Vice President, Professional Services
Mr. Wallace has a deep background in enterprise application management and
enabling technology solutions delivery to large financial institutions.
Prior to joining Canopy in 2007 to lead the company's professional services unit, Wallace directed development and production support services at Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago. Prior to Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago, Wallace lead implementation services and the eCommerce consulting practice at ONE, Inc., a Chicago-based systems integrator focused on the Healthcare and Financial Services vertical industries. Wallace has consulted to several Global 1000 companies on matters of technology and operational strategy as a management consultant for Ernst & Young, LLP. In June of 2006, John F. Powers became President and CEO of the Stanford
Management Company. SMC was established in 1991 to manage Stanford’s financial
and real estate assets. SMC is a division of Stanford University with oversight
by a Board of Directors appointed by the University Board of Trustees. SMC
oversees approximately $18.0 billion of endowment and trust assets, temporarily
invested expendable funds, and commercial real estate investments.
From 2002 until 2006 Mr. Powers worked at Offit Hall Capital Management LLC as Managing Director and the Director of Research, and was a member of the firm’s Investment and Management Committees. Offit Hall was an investment advisory firm with offices in San Francisco and New York. Offit Hall had more than $20 billion under advisement for approximately 130 clients as of March 31, 2006. From 1992 to 2002 Mr. Powers worked at Robertson Stephens, Inc. He was Managing Director and Director of Research and served on the Management and Executive Committees. He joined Robertson Stephens as an equity analyst in the Communications area. Mr. Powers began his career in marketing research and opinion polling at Cambridge Survey Research. He was vice president at Yankelovich, Skelly and White, a marketing consultancy firm from 1977 to 1981. Following business school Mr. Powers worked in the telecommunications equipment industry at ROLM Corporation (1983-1987) Octel Communications Corporation (1987-1990), and Aspect Telecommunications (1990-1992).
